Presentation at a JISC/Sconul Workshop on library management systems.

In advance of this presentation, I was asked to write a short "vision" paper on the future of library management systems, and to be "challenging" in this. I chose to talk about the transition from a static catalogue-based approach to an agent-based system, and the implications of that for libraries and their users.
